National Cup Details
Congratulations Fire on your berth to U.S. Club National Cup and for going undefeated at Nationals! The boys did everything they needed to do to make it to the championship game, but a little bad luck prevented them from getting there.
Final Scores were:
Fire 2 ...Santa Clara, CA 1
Fire 1... Andromeda, TX 1
Fire 0 .... Chicago Magic, IL 0
It was a pleasure coaching you! Best of luck in your soccer careers.
Our Competition
In our first three games, we are playing three teams with a combined gotsoccer.com point total (including regional results) of 3380 points. That would be enough points to make those three teams by themselves the #1 club in FL!
Our first game against the Santa Clara Sporting Ruckus will be a tough one. They are ranked #8 in the U.S. with the following tournament record to boast:
US Club Regional Champion
NHB Cup - Finalist
Nomads Thanksgiving - Semi-Finalist
NorCal Cup - Champions
San Juan California Cup - Champions
Mustang Headless Horseman - Champions
Central California Invitational - Champions
Sant Clara Sporting Invitational - Champions
Santa Cruz Classic - Finalist
Golden Gate Invitational - Champions
CYSA District II Cup - Champions
Makes me tired just looking at the list.
Our second game is against the #4 team in North TX, Andromeda SC. Their tournament record isn't quite as impressive as that of Santa Clara, but non the less impressive:
US Club Regional Champion
Plano Labor Day - Champions
Classics Winter Cup - Semi-Finalist
Winterfest - Champions
Texas HeatWave KickOff Classic - Champions
Blackwatch Flamefest - Semi-Finalist
Our third game is against a team that hails from the #1 boys club in IL and the #3 club in the U.S. Few clubs can boast as many state, regional, and national champions and finalists. Who knows what to expect from this team?, but we know they have been trained well. Their tournament successes to date include:
US Club Regional Champion
Spring Best of the Midwest - Semi-Finalist
SuperClubs Rockford Regional Qualifier - Champions
CIS Spring Invitational - Champions

Tactics Lessons for Players to Review
We don't have time to cover a lot of tactics, but the following are a few lessons we hope to get through either during practices or through coaching in the game. These topics are the ones of greatest priority because they can win (or lose games).
