It was a great weekend of growth and mutation for the Werewolves. Our five younger players had an opportunity to play together for a change and against their own age group. It proved to be one of the tougher divisions. The Titusville Lady Bucs and The North Florida Strikers were a pair of very experienced teams, and the Tornadoes were no slouches. The Werewolves dropped two games on Saturday against the Bucs and Strikers. Both were close battles and at times it appeared they had bitten off more than they could chew. But on Sunday, the boys transformed, grew some fangs, and put on a great show in the semi final and final. They managed to devour both of the teams that had beaten them the prior day to win the Championship. It was a great display of character and leadership.
The Werewolf player-coach, TJ, selected Tyler A as the Sportsman of the Tournament. A wise choice. I couldn't have been prouder of these five boys for never giving up and improving so much from game 1 to 5. Congratulations to all five!
