Practicing (I mean Playing) at Home
You can not expect to develop into a great soccer player if the only times you play are at practices and games. Playing alone or with friends, siblings, the neighbor's dog, etc. is the best time to learn. Be creative and have fun. Master the skills we teach you during practice. Work on things we don't have enough time for, such as juggling and foot skills. Challenge yourself. Set a weekly goal to develop a particular skill. If the weather is bad, buy a miniball and dribble around the house. Play hacky sac. Whatever you do, don't sit around the house playing video games or watching re-runs of Sponge Bob Square Pants. Get out there.

Things
to do at home by yourself or with a friend:

basketball using only your feet and head.

-Practice foot skills in the driveway (e.g. Zico, scissors, etc.) using
a tennis ball.
-Practice balancing a ball on different parts of your body (i.e., feet,
thighs, head).
-Invent a new move and master it.
-Practice forward handspring throwins if you've got the gymnastics skills.
-Using a soccer
pal, get 1000 touches per day on the ball.

*Everyone
on the team should be able to do 50+ juggles by the end of the first year!
